So far, only excerpts of Darger's writings have been published in John MacGregor's two identically-titled but different books, Henry J. Darger: Dans Les Royaumes De L'Irréeal and Henry Darger: In the Realms of the Unreal and in Michael Bonesteel's book, Henry Darger: Art and Selected Writings.

Where can I buy prints of Darger's paintings?

I have seen prints offered for sale only in connection with specific exhibits. Museums and galleries that held past exhibits may still be offering prints.

Who owns the rights to Henry Darger's paintings?

Kiyoko Lerner owns all of the copyrights on Darger's work. Nathan and Kiyoko Lerner originally owned all of the individual pieces, but have donated or sold many to museums, galleries and collectors.

Academy Award-Winning director Jessica Yu has produced a documentary, In the Realms of the Unreal, which screened at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.
